Out of the several players that have been brought in the summer, these 5 players have been impressive so far for their respective clubs.

#5 Nolito

Nolito joined Manchester City from Celta Vigo for £13.8m and the winger has put in steady performances on the wing. Pep Guardiola managed the winger at Barcelona and brought in the Spaniard to play in the left side of midfield.

The Spaniard offers pace and creativity and is familiar with the kind of system Pep Guardiola likes to follow.

The 29-year old has been an effective forward in La Liga having scored 25 goals and 20 assists in the past two seasons that he spent at Celta Vigo. Nolito provides an attacking threat with lots of movement and trickery for Manchester City.

Nolito has already proven to be an effective player for Guardiola as he hit the ground running with 2 goals and 1 assist in just three starts for the club. He was also notable in the 5-0 annihilation of Steaua Bucharest in the Champions League. Nolito has become a notable addition to an already potent attack of Manchester City.

#4 Sadio Mane

Liverpool signed Sadio Mane for £30 million from Southampton in the summer and the Senegal international has proven to be worth every penny that the club paid for him.

Sadio Mane has had a sensational start to his Liverpool career with two goals and three assists, Mane has been involved in 5 goals in 4 appearances for the Merseyside club. The 24-year-old’s individual goal against Arsenal showed a glimpse of what he can provide for the club.

He was sorely missed in Liverpool’s defeat to Burnley, which highlights how vital he has already become to the team. The pace that Mane provides in the final third, adds quality to the Liverpool attack.

The former Southampton attacker could very well prove to be Liverpool’s best signing since Phillipe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge.

#3 Eric Bailly

Manchester United’s £30 million summer signing Eric Bailly has had a stunning first month at the club so far. The 22-year-old was very impressive in the heart of the defence as the club managed to pick up 9 points in four games in the English Premier League.

Bailly has shown early qualities of a leader willing to demonstrate by example and has the potential to become tougher as the season progress.

The Ivorian has been aggressive, quick, strong and good in the air for the Red Devils so far this season. With Mourinho backing the young centre back, the future looks very bright for the former Villareal man.

Bailly even managed to pick up the club’s first player of the month award 2016/17, beating other impressive nominees Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his defensive partner Daley Blind.

#2 Joel Matip

The 24-year-old Cameroon international was one of Jurgen Klopp’s first signings in the summer after the tall central defender joined from Bundesliga side Schalke on a free transfer.

Matip has been solid at the back for Liverpool in his three appearances for the club against Tottenham, Leicester City, and Chelsea. Matip was resolute, showing toughness in the backline and at the same driving forward with the ball.

There had been many questions marks over Liverpool’s centre-back situation, having leaked too many goals over the last couple of seasons. But, Matip along with Lovren have proven to be solid in the back.

Matip, in the game against Leicester, showed that he can command the backline and if it weren’t for Lucas Leiva’s mistake, the team could have a deserved clean sheet. Joel Matip could be one of the best free transfers for a defender since Sol Campbell moved to Arsenal.

#1 Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Since his arrival at Old Trafford, the Big Swede has stolen the headlines, scoring four goals in four games for Manchester United in the Premier League. The club’s summer signing has made a genuine impact for the club.

Even at the age of 34, he has proved many doubters wrong by showing that he can handle the physicality of the English Premier League.

Such has been his impact on the team, that the club is all set to offer him an extended contract in the coming weeks. His fitness levels and strength have been more than impressive when compared to any of his compatriots at Manchester United.

Ibrahimovic has certainly lived up to the hype and has certainly been impressive in the League so far.
