The Greatest Royal Rumble event saw a number of records broken. Let’s take a look at some of these.

5: Biggest Royal Rumble match

This is the most obvious record broken. The Rumble match at the Greatest Royal Rumble is now the biggest Royal Rumble match of all time with 50 participants. It now beats out the 40-man Royal Rumble match at the 2011 Royal Rumble PPV as the largest Royal Rumble match of all time.

Braun Strowman has also replaced Alberto Del Rio as the winner of the biggest Royal Rumble match of all time.

4: Goldust second most rumbles

Goldust has now entered the second most Royal Rumble matches with 13. Shawn Michaels and Big Show were previously tied with Goldust at #2 with 12 appearances.

The man with the most Royal Rumble match appearances is still Kane with a whopping 19 appearances.

3: Mike Kanellis breaks the record for shortest time in a Rumble match?

Although it hasn’t fully been confirmed by the WWE, it looks like Mike Kanellis may have set the record for the shortest time in a Royal Rumble match before getting eliminated.

The previous record was held by Santino Marella at 1.9 seconds and it looks like WWE are teasing that Kanellis broke that record to etch his name on the history books, although this isn’t the way he’d have wanted to go in.

2: Most Royal Rumble eliminations

Braun Strowman not only won the biggest Royal Rumble match of all time in Jeddah, he also broke the record for the most eliminations in a single Royal Rumble match with 13 eliminations.

The previous record was held by Roman Reigns at 12 during the 2014 Royal Rumble match.

1: Daniel Bryan breaks the record for the longest time in a Royal Rumble match

Daniel Bryan has broken the record for the longest time spent in a Royal Rumble match with 1 hour 16 minutes beating out Rey Mysterio’s record of 62 minutes which he set in the 2006 Royal Rumble match.

Bryan was eliminated 3rd from last after entering the match at #1.
